A permanent role of SSC is the coordination of „National plan SR for BECEP 2011-2020“ in road infrastructure.
The main tasks are:
- the evaluation of road accidents based on the road accident data from the Police databank, definition of critical locations (KNL) and repeated critical locations (OKNL), classification of KNL by basic markers of casualties and economic consequences,
- suggesting measures to eliminate KNL in terms of construction/technology and transport/organization defects,
- analysis and files for decision making, statistical overview etc.,
- control of traffic signalization and suggestions to eliminate detected defects,
- cooperation in legislation process, at technological norms and regulations in the department (TPR).
