Slovenská správa ciest (hereinafter referred to as „SSC“) is an independent non-profit organisation established on 1 January 1996 by the Ministry of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications of the Slovak Republic (hereinafter „MTPT“) that executes for motorways, express ways, 1st, 2nd and 3rd class roads („roads“ or „road network“) transport planning, keeping of central technical databases, central databank, technical development, including related conceptual, coordination and methodological activities, administration of 1st class roads and land owned by the Slovak Republic, including investment activity for 1st class roads.
The statutory body of SSC is director general who represents SSC outwards, manages its activity, acts on its behalf in all matters and answers for results of its financial operations to the Minister of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications of the Slovak Republic.
